Swagbucks Friday!! - C'MON RANGERS!!

I have been able to earn over $110 worth of Amazon giftcards.  And with those giftcards, I have been able to purchase cables/cords, books, movies, etc. - all for FREE!  It does take patience & time, BUT is WELL worth it in the end.  I plan to use a good chunk of my Swagbucks now for Christmas.  This will help keep my holiday costs down.  What will you use your Swagbucks on?

Thursday 10/21 - $8.68 (Chips & 17 lbs of extremely discounted bananers! I made ice cream, banana chips, banana pancakes, etc. out of all 17 lbs)

So we ate all all our "chip" items to go with our sandwich for lunch. We had some pretzels left, but Brian refused to eat them. So I bought him some chips for his lunch this week.

Interesting list, huh? Are you guilty of doing/purchasing any of these things? We don't do energy drinks or coffee, but we do do soft drinks. We've tried not drinking coke, but it's useless! We spend about $5 per week on coke. That's around $260 per year. We love coke so much that we are willing to spend that much on it. But think about going out to eat, or hitting up Starbucks a few times a week. Those $$ certainly add up to several hundred dollars a year.

It Doesn't Hurt To Ask...

How many times have I said this? 80% of the time it turns into something like this:

I was eating the rest of a box of cheerios, and noticed a "prize" on the bottom. I opened it, and it was a $5.00 Discover giftcard. SHA-SWEET! But went I looked at the date, the card had expired. CRAP! We just don't eat cereal fast enough. So what did I do? I emailed customer service, said some nice things about their product and asked if there was any way they could reissue the giftcard. This was their response to me:

Thank you for contacting General Mills regarding our Big G Cash Card.

This promotion expired June 1, 2010. The promotion started February 1, 2009. We no longer have replacement cards to mail out. We apologize that you did not get to use the card from your package. An adjustment has been mailed to the address that you have provided. Please allow 15-20 business days for delivery.

If there is anything else we can do concerning this matter, please let us know.
