TEN Ways to Maximize Your Swagbucks:
What are Swagbucks? It’s basically just a search engine. But instead of getting nothing out of “research,” you can use the SwagBucks search engine to earn “swagbucks.” After you have accumulated some, you can redeem them for prizes. I research and look up stuff ALL the time, so why not get rewarded for something you do every day anyways?
Some of the merchandise include gift cards, electronics, sweepstakes for bigger prizes, mp3s, school supplies and much much more.
Bucks Tip #1: Join!!
First, you gotta join SwagBucks to earn SwagBucks, DUH!!
Bucks Tip #2: Use the Toolbar!!
The quickest way to win SBs is to use their toolbar. Any time you need to look something up, type it in the toolbar for a chance to win more bucks. It only takes a second to install.
Bucks Tip #3: Use for EVERY search!!
Anytime I need to use a website, like Hotmail, Facebook, etc. I will type that in at Swagbucks. So I will “search” for hotmail.com, and most of the time I will win some bucks.
Bucks Tip #4: Get creative!!
Don’t just limit yourself to one search – get creative in your wording. For example, when I type in for hotmail, I’ll try a couple of different things: a) Hotmail, b) Hotmail.com, c) www.Hotmail.com, d) Hotmail email, e) Hotmail email account, etc. You can do this with a lot of searches.
Bucks Tip #5: Swag Codes!!
Swagbucks puts out codes every now and then on their Twitter or Facebook page. These are basically FREE bucks. When you find a code, type it into “Your Account” code box, and they are instantly added to your account.
Bucks Tip #6: Shop!!
There is an option to shop through SwagBucks. For every $1.00 you spend, you earn 2 SwagBucks. There are tons of stores to shop at, including iTunes, Wal-Mart, Guitar Center.
Bucks Tip #7: Trade In!!
There is also an option to TRADE for SwagBucks. You can trade in old cell phones, mp3 players, video games and video game consoles. If you’re not using them and can’t “sell” them, then TRADE them for SwagBucks.
Bucks Tip #8: SwagStakes!!
Swagbucks has lots of sweepstakes you can enter. For only a few bucks, you can enter for things like DVDs, 1,000 SwagBucks, $25 PayPal cash, etc.
Bucks tip #9: Use the Tabs!!
There are tabs located at the top of the search "Web" "Images" "Video" etc. When you do a search, click on each one of those links, THEN click back on the Web search. There have been several times where I got Swagbucks JUST from doing that. Hey - any little bit helps!
Bucks tip #10: Amazon GiftCards!!
Although there are a ton of things to purchase, the Amazon.com gift cards are the best route to go, and here is why:
$5.00 Amazon e-GC = 450 SwagBucks
$5.00 PayPal Cash = 700 SwagBucks
$10.00 Barnes & Noble e-GC = 1250 SwagBucks
Apple iPod shuffle 2 GB Silver (4th Generation) NE = 9500 SwagBucks
**On Amazon.com, this costs around $51.00**
You can almost always find something you need on Amazon.com. So unless you need the cash, the Amazon e-GC is a much better option than the $5.00 PayPal cash.
You can almost always find the book you need on Amazon.com as well as B&N.com. So for a $10.00 book, you can get (2) $5.00 Amazon e-GCs for 900 SwagBucks, or get (1) $10.00 B&N e-GC for 1250 SwagBucks. So looks like the Amazon.com GC is the better option.
THEN – Swagbucks has lots of electronic items to choose from, for example the Apple iPod shuffle 2 GB Silver (4th Generation) NE for a total of 9500 SwagBucks. This runs (right now) for $51.00 on Amazon.com. To cover this cost with Amazon e-GCs, you would need 11 GCs, so 11 x 450 SBs = 4950. Or you can order the iPod shuffle for 9500 straight from the Swagbucks website. IF you cash out on Amazon.com e-GCs, you can get the iPod shuffle for almost HALF the cost.
So, the best tip I can give you if you are going to purchase “stuff” is cash your SwagBucks out for Amazon e-GCs.
I have been able to get lots of stuff for free by using SwagBucks. So if you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon, or haven’t found time to keep searching, hopefully this will help you get motivated.
I LOVE FREE STUFF!!
