CVS: Gas Rewards Program

Say it isn't so.

CVS is rolling out a new Gas Rewards Program, from 5/22 - 8/28 (ALL SUMMER LONG!)

Buy $30 in qualifying products and get a $10 Gas Gift Card. Here is what their press release states:

With gas prices reaching $4 per gallon nationally, CVS/pharmacy is offering members of its ExtraCare Rewards program the ability to earn one $10 gift card to Exxon/Mobil, Shell, BP Amoco or BP Arco every week by spending $30 on specially marked items found in the weekly CVS/pharmacy circular. The program runs from May 22 to August 28.

Once ExtraCare customers reach the $30 required purchase threshold, a special coupon will print on their receipt that can be redeemed immediately in store for a $10 gas card. If customers prefer to wait to redeem their coupon they have up to 30 days to do so. Limit one redemption per week for each ExtraCare cardholder. Shoppers will have the opportunity to take advantage of the deal once every week, with new products in each week’s ad. But there is no carry-over balance to the next week, since the specially marked products may change.

This sounds like an EXCELLENT program, especially matched with manufacturer coupons and Extra Care Bucks.
