Walgreens Trip 5/9 – I was excited about this trip!!

I had a fun time at Walgreens today. (I know, I’m weird)

I had $37.00 in RR that I had to use by the 9th. Because I had so many, and I didn’t want to spend HOURS in the store or planning out my transactions, I did this:

Transaction #1:

1 Schick Razor - $7.99, Get $5.00 RR wyb1

-Used $5.00 MFQ

2 Soft Scrub Cleaners - $4.39 each = $8.78

-Walgreens BOGO sale (-$4.39)

-Used BOGO Printable (-$4.39)

1 Diet DP - $4.69 (not pictured)

-Used $1.00 peelie on box

1 TUF Paper Towel - $.59 with in-ad coupon

1 EOS Shaving Cream - $2.99, Get $2.99 RR wyb 1

-Used $10.00 RR from HERE

Paid $.28 OOP

Got back $5.00 RR (Shick) & $3.00 RR (EOS)

Transaction #2:

1 Schick Razor - $7.99, Get $5.00 RR wyb1

-Used $5.00 MFQ

2 Soft Scrub Cleaners - $1.19 each = $2.38

-Used BOGO Printable (-$1.19)

1 Diet DP - $4.69 (not pictured)

-Used $1.00 peelie on box

1 TUF Paper Towel - $.59 with in-ad coupon

1 EOS Shaving Cream - $2.99, Get $2.99 RR wyb 1

-Used $10.00 RR from HERE

*For some reason, the Soft Scrub didn’t ring up BOGO, so the cashier adjusted or did something to it, my total came to $.49. I’m not complaining!

Paid $.49 OOP

Got back $5.00 RR (Shick) & $3.00 RR (EOS)

Now here’s the fun part:

Since I had so many RRs left, I didn’t feel like going back and doing more shopping. I have read that people can get giftcards with their RRs, even though “technically” you can’t. But it’s totally up to the manager. So I asked the cashier if I could. She said she didn’t know, so we asked the manager. I told him “you’re already getting the money from the manufacturer anyways.” He said “OK, but I don’t know if it will work.” So we tried it – it worked and this is how I came out!

Got 1 $10 Walgreens GC – Used $10 RR

Paid $0.00 OOP

Got 1 $10 Walgreens GC – Used $5 RR & $5 cash (it has to be in multiples of $10)

Paid $0.00 OOP

Ok…so there is now only $2.00 in RR remaining:

Transaction #3:

1 EOS Shaving Cream - $2.99, Get $2.99 RR wyb 1

-Used $2.00 RR

Paid $1.08 (used GC) hehe

Got back $3.00 RR

GRAND TOTAL

Paid $5.77

Got back (2) $5 RR, (3) $3 RR = $19.00

Total profit $13.23 + $18.92 remaining on GCs = $32.15

NOTE: I have asked about 2-3 different Walgreens if they will let me get a GC with RRs, and they said no. I just kept asking, and finally found a manager that will let me do it! So don’t give up!!
