You'd be surprised how many stores will accept competitor coupons just to get you to shop at their store. I've seen lots of restaurants with signs saying "We accept competitor coupons!" So keep your eyes peeled.
My husband goes through running shoes like nobody's business. He desperately needed some new ones for school (he's a kinesiology major), work, and he will be coaching soccer this fall.
We decided to go to Academy because it's right by our house, and they have great prices! We try to go to places that we have a coupon for, but we didn't have one for Academy. We did however, have a $10/$50 coupon for Dick's. We thought we would go ahead and ask, because the worse that could happen is we can't use the coupon. Oh well.
BUT - the lady at the front said they take competitor's coupons. Hot dog!
Luckily, Brian found a pair of shoes he really liked at an AWESOME price of $39.99. Sweet! Now I can get something ($10.01 and up) for myself, essentially for FREE. We ended up getting Brian some shirts on clearance (because I'm a good wife!)
Moral of the Story #1 - Don't throw away any coupons - you never know when you could use them...and at what store!
Moral of the Store #2 - Don't be afraid to ask - you might be in luck!
